Bambu Lab recently issued a significant security reminder for 3D A1 printers due to a problem with the heating tray cable that could have a risk of fire.As a precaution, it is crucial to immediately stop using your A1 printer and follow the steps below to replace the cable of the heating tray.

It is essential to replace the cable from the heating tray as soon as possible to eliminate any risk of fire.

The procedure
Turn off and unplug the printer
Make sure the printer is completely extinct and unplugged from the sector outlet before starting.
Remove the upper hood: Unscrew the cruciform screws from the upper hood from the printer and remove it carefully.
Locate the cable of the heating tray: the cable of the heating tray is located at the rear of the printer, connecting the heating tray to the motherboard.
Disconnect the old cable: disconnect the old cable from the motherboard and the heating tray thoroughly.
Connect the new cable: Connect the new cable from the motherboard heating tray and heating tray following the instructions provided in the replacement kit.
Return the upper hood in place: Replace the upper hood of the printer and fix it with the cruciform screws.
Connect and turn on the printer: connect the printer to the mains outlet and turn it on.

Verification after replacement
Once the new cable is installed, it is important to check that the printer is working properly and that the cable has no overheating sign.
Launch a short test impression: launch a short impression to observe the operation of the printer and the heating tray.
Inspect the cable during printing: Monitor the cable from the heating tray during printing to make sure it does not overheat or does not give off smoke.
